Emily Irene VanCamp was born in Canada. She's an actor who has appeared in a variety of television shows. She is also a star in the field of film. She has a large following in American as well as Canadian television. Emily became interested in the acting profession when she was just 12. She visited her older sister Katie on the set of a film. After Emily discovered her passion for acting, she began training in acting classes and went to auditions. Her first audition was for commercials, but she was not cast until being offered a role on the Canadian children's horror television show Are You Scared of Darkness? which featured her only in one scene, without any dialog. When she was 15years old, Emily had her big breakthrough after she was made regular on the WB Television program Glory Days. Emily's appearance on the WB show Glory Days, which was canceled after nine episodes, attracted the attention and casting of Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Additionally, a dancer and photographer, Emily was featured in Teen in their list of best actresses under the age of 20. The Maxim's Hot 100 List of 2014 placed Emily at number 51.
